Our residents had an amazing time enjoying great food, great company, and taking our time to truly savor the moment.

We also made it extra special by celebrating our sweet Chris’ birthday 🎂🎉 He was surprised with a complimentary cake, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. A huge thank you to the Aubrey’s team for their excellent service, kindness, and patience—we felt so welcomed and cared for.

🌟 Associate of the Month Spotlight 🌟

Meet Emiliano, known to us as Emi, one of our amazing Kitchen Aides here at The Goldton!

Born and raised in Irapuato, Mexico, Emi brings a caring, positive, and hardworking spirit to everything he does. Working at The Goldton has helped him grow both personally and professionally, strengthening his patience, attentiveness, and compassion. He truly enjoys helping our residents and spending meaningful time with them—whether it’s sharing a laugh, having a conversation, or simply being there when they need support.

One of Emi’s favorite parts about working at The Goldton is the special relationships he has built with our residents. He values their stories, life experiences, and the wisdom they share, knowing these moments will stay with him for years to come. His dedication and genuine heart do not go unnoticed, and we are proud to recognize him as The Goldton’s Associate of the Month 👏

Outside of work, Emi enjoys sushi and steak, staying active by playing soccer, gaming with friends, and relaxing with movie nights alongside his wife. Fun fact—his favorite color is black!

Working at The Goldton has truly been a blessing for Emi, and we are so grateful to have him as part of our community 💙

📻🍿 Radio Show Gathering at The Goldton 🍿📻

Our Radio Show Gathering was a big hit as we took a step back in time with the classic Amos ’n’ Andy radio show! The room was filled with laughter, memories, and—of course—our amazing popcorn, which made the experience even better.

As part of our Decades Theme for January, we explored a touch of the 1910s, celebrating the early days of radio and shared entertainment. While Amos ’n’ Andy first aired in 1928, it still made a meaningful impact on our residents. As they listened, many couldn’t help but reminisce about sitting with their parents, gathered around the radio, enjoying shows just like this together.

It was truly special to hear the stories that came flooding back—simple moments, family traditions, and the joy of listening as a household. These are the memories that connect generations and make experiences like this so powerful.

🎉Resident Spotlight & Birthday Celebration 🎉

Today we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Randall Shaw—and make it extra special as we celebrate his birthday today! 🥳

Randall was born on January 29, 1954, in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the second of seven children and comes from a loving family that helped shape the kind, grounded man we know today. Randall fondly remembers one sibling who has gone to heaven along with his mom and dad, and he proudly shares a strong, lifelong bond with his five sisters, who mean the world to him.

He is also a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served his country during the Vietnam War alongside his brother-in-law. His service is an important part of his life story and one he carries with great pride 🇺🇸

One thing everyone should know about Randall—he loves cutting grass, especially his mom’s yard. Taking care of her lawn brought him so much joy, and she loved sitting on the front porch, smiling and bragging about how beautiful her yard looked because of him. That same passion later followed him to his work at Woodlawn Cemetery, where being outdoors and keeping the grounds just right felt natural and fulfilling.

Karate holds a special place in Randall’sheart. A true Kung Fu fan, he practiced karate for several years and still enjoys watching his favorite martial arts movies. Add in some “old school” music, and you’ll find Randall perfectly content.

Family, service, and simple joys define Randall’s life, and we are truly blessed to have him as part of The Goldton family.

🎈 Happy Birthday, Randall! We hope your day is filled with smiles, love, and celebration 🎉

🍎🥧 Apple Pie Social at The Goldton 🥧🍎

There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh apple pie to bring everyone together! Our Apple Pie Social was filled with laughter, sweet conversations, and plenty of delicious bites. And since we couldn’t decide between classic apple pie and caramel apple pie… we did the only sensible thing and enjoyed a bite of both! 😄

Residents loved sharing stories, sipping coffee, and treating themselves to double the sweetness. Moments like these remind us that sometimes the best memories are made over dessert—and that it’s always okay to say yes to an extra slice.

Events like this bring joy, connection, and a true sense of community to life at The Goldton. From the smiles around the room to the last crumb of pie, it was a heartwarming afternoon everyone enjoyed.

🥁🎶 Happy Hour with Laurie’s Drum Show 🎶🥁

Our happy hour was full of energy, rhythm, and big smiles thanks to the amazing Laurie, who brought her drum show all the way from New York! Recently moved to Spring Hill, Laurie instantly connected with our residents and filled the room with excitement and joy.

Her energy and engagement were truly phenomenal — residents clapped along, laughed, and soaked up every beat. It was one of those happy hours where the music brought everyone together in the best way.

We are already counting down the days until we see her again! Not only does Laurie play the drums, but she also plays the piano and accordion, and we can’t wait to enjoy even more of her incredible talents.

Moments like these are what make our community so special. 💙

🎶 Happy Hour with a Very Special Guest 🎶

Our assisted living happy hour turned into an unforgettable evening thanks to the incredible Dave LaChance! His magnificent voice and undeniable charisma filled the room with joy and emotion, creating a truly special night for our residents.

We danced 💃, we laughed, we even shed a few happy tears — and most importantly, we had so much fun together. To make the evening even sweeter, we celebrated our January birthdays 🎂 with lots of smiles and love.

As we settled in and prepared for the coming storm, we ended the night on a high note, grateful for the beautiful memories made. A heartfelt thank you to Dave and his wife for sharing their talent and warmth with us — it meant the world to our residents. 💙

🥩 Steak Night at Texas Roadhouse 🥩

We recently took our residents out for a nice dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and even though the cold weather kept our group small, these two residents could not say no to a good steak! ❄️🥩

It turned into a very cozy and warm outing filled with great food, smiles, and wonderful conversation. The team at Texas Roadhouse was absolutely fantastic—so welcoming and attentive—and we are already looking forward to coming back again soon!

Moments like these remind us that it’s not about the size of the group, but the joy shared during the experience 💛

☕ Tea Time in Memory Care ☕

On our Memory Care side of the building, we continue to celebrate our theme for the year: Decades—finding meaningful ways to help our residents remember and reconnect through special moments they’ve enjoyed throughout their lives.

One of those moments came to life with our Victorian Tea Party, and it was truly a success. From the elegant setting to the sweet treats and tea, our residents were all smiles. Seeing their happiness, hearing their stories, and watching them enjoy something so familiar and comforting reminded us why moments like these matter so much.

These special experiences help spark memories, encourage connection, and bring joy to every day—and this tea party did just that ☕💐

If you’d like to see what makes our Memory Care community so special, we’d love to show you around.
