Our amazing Gardening Club rolled up their sleeves, got their hands a little dirty, and planted beautiful flowers around our community! There’s something so special about feeling the soil, enjoying the sunshine, and reconnecting with nature after the long cold days.

With warmer weather finally here, our residents were full of smiles as they planted, laughed, and shared stories while bringing new life to our outdoor spaces. Gardening is not only fun, but it also helps us relax, stay active, and feel connected to the earth again. 🌱

We are officially saying goodbye to the cold and hello to sunshine, fresh air, and blooming flowers! 🌼

Our St. Patrick’s Day celebration at The Goldton was one for the books! 💚

We had a sneaky little leprechaun infiltrate the building, keeping everyone on their toes—especially those who forgot to wear green… pinch, pinch! 😉🍀 But don’t worry, it was all in good fun and full of laughter all around.

The highlight of the day? Our delicious float creations! 🥤 Residents had the best time mixing, tasting, and enjoying sweet treats while sharing stories, laughs, and plenty of Irish cheer.

From playful mischief to joyful moments together, it was a day filled with smiles, connection, and unforgettable memories.

❤️ Giving Back with The Well Outreach Group ❤️

We had a wonderful time welcoming The Well Outreach Group to our community! Together with our residents, we helped put together snack bags for those in need, and it was such a meaningful and joyful activity for everyone involved.

The Well Outreach does incredible work in our community by providing food, resources, and support to families who may be facing difficult times. Their mission is to make sure no one in our community goes without the essentials they need.

Our residents truly enjoyed being part of this project. There’s something special about coming together to help others, and it filled the room with smiles, teamwork, and a lot of heart. We love opportunities like this that allow us to give back and support the community that supports us.

🍓 Strawberry Cream Social Fun! ☀️

What a sweet and joyful day with our Memory Care residents during our Strawberries & Cream Social! Residents enjoyed a delicious treat while spending time together, singing along to some of our favorite tunes.

We even played a fun “Guess the Song” game, and our residents impressed us by getting so many of them right! Music always brings out the best memories and smiles.

With the beautiful weather outside, it was the perfect day to enjoy some sunshine, laughter, and of course a little vitamin C from our tasty strawberries! Moments like these remind us how special it is to share joy, music, and sweet treats together.

There’s nothing better than a warm cup of coffee, delicious pastries, and great company! Our residents recently enjoyed a special Pastries & Coffee social with Tina and Zach, giving everyone a chance to sit down, relax, and have great conversations.

This fun gathering is a wonderful way for residents to ask questions, share stories, and get to know our amazing team a little better. Our Regional Director Zach and Wellness Director Tina loved spending time with everyone, and of course, the coffee and goodies made it even sweeter!

This week at The Goldton we had a sweet celebration for National Oreo Day! 🍪🎉

Our residents had a wonderful time making their own Oreo ice cream cups using the classic cookies from Oreo. From crushing the cookies to layering them with ice cream, everyone got to be part of the fun.

The best part was enjoying the delicious treat together! There were lots of smiles, laughter, and of course plenty of chocolatey goodness.

Moments like these make life a little sweeter and bring our community together in the most joyful ways. 💛

✨ Resident Spotlight: Irene Seixas ✨

At 95 years young, Irene Seixas brings warmth, kindness, and wonderful stories to life at The Goldton. Born in Winnipeg, Canada in 1930, Irene later made her home in San Pedro, California, where she spent 50 wonderful years before moving to Tennessee in 2020.

Irene is a proud mother of four, grandmother to nine, great-grandmother to five, and she is excitedly awaiting the arrival of her first great-great-grandchild this June! Her family describes her as such a loving mother that each of her children always believed they were her favorite. ❤️

In her younger years, Irene was a talented seamstress who lovingly made clothes and Halloween costumes for her children. She still enjoys knitting and once even donated handmade socks to sailors through the Seaman’s Society. Irene has always loved birds and enjoys the company of her cockatiel, Mozart, who often rings his bell to entertain visitors.

With an adventurous spirit, Irene once worked at a company where the famous Morris the Cat from TV commercials would nap in her desk drawer during the day! She also entered a beauty pageant representing her company and proudly won second place.

Irene later worked many years as a secretary for a marine surveyor in the Los Angeles Harbor area and truly loved her work. When asked the secret to living a long life, Irene simply says: be kind to others and let hurtful words go.

We feel so lucky to have Irene as part of our Goldton family. 💛

Proud to call Summertown, Tennessee home, Jessica brings a fun-loving spirit and warm heart to our community every single day. She loves fishing and joking around (and she’ll happily tell you she’s very good at it! 😉). Her playful personality and genuine kindness make her a favorite among both residents and team members.

Although Jessica has a small family of her own, she believes family goes far beyond blood. Everyone she meets becomes part of her extended family, and she treats each resident with deep love, respect, and compassion. She doesn’t just work at The Goldton—she truly loves it. Helping others isn’t just her job; it’s her calling.

Whether she’s teasing a resident to make them laugh, fixing their hair, or sitting down for a heartfelt conversation, Jessica finds joy in the little moments that make a big difference. Seeing our residents smile, feel safe, and know they are valued is what inspires her every day.
