Conflict is normal. It's neither good, nor bad- It just is. It happens all the time, every day, all day-- in everything. The definition of it is just simply "disagreement". One thing going this way, the other thing going that way and then those two things meet up. Democracy and capitalism are conflict. 4-way stop signs are conflict. The problems come when the conflict doesn't resolve. It creates friction and heat, breaking down the disagreeing elements. The longer they stay unresolved, the hotter they get-- And the more it appeals for our attention. If this were measured on a thermometer we'd read it as "consideration" at low temperature, then "care", "concern", then "worry" as it got hotter and hotter. And if it keeps going, it crosses a line into STRESS, with exponentially louder appeals for attention because our bodies get involved and start ringing alarm bells. And if that doesn't resolve then we get a "pattern of unresolved stress" called ANXIETY. But all that needs to happen here is some kind of adjustment, some kind of well-informed new direction to allow for those conflicting parts to continue moving. Once we start finding ways to massage those disagreeing components into loosening up then perhaps the temperature can start to drop. And things don't always have to fully resolve either- sometimes they generate needed energy to CREATE. And when humans are allowed to CREATE-- they are being what they were designed to be and doing what they were designed to do!

Do you have a "council" or "committee of judges" in the back of your mind? Perhaps of people formerly or currently in your life or maybe just representative of a type of person? They're always there-- Saying "Nah ah ah, I wouldn't do that!" Or "YOU know what OTHER people think of you!" --Their only job is to judge the things you think about, believe, or do...And why would you have that? Because at some point, you thought you NEEDED them there! YOU put them there. Maybe to keep yourself in line or to motivate yourself. In other words: You CREATED the council. Well, it's time to dismiss them and "dissolve" the council. They've LOOONG overstayed their welcome. Let them all find more gainful employment somewhere else if they want. Thank them for their services and let them know their services are just simply "no longer needed". You can take it from here...You most definitely do not NEED them!

I'm a big fan of bucket lists. This checked-off one of mine and it was for such a worthwhile charity: Pucks for Autism. It donated a chunk of funds to another worthwhile local organization: Autism TN. Still hoping for footage from the event so we can share here-- Thanks to Shawn Pfeiffer for putting a once-in-a-lifetime event together!

Spring Hill Therapy is honored to have participated in this charity last weekend! We were able to donate a nice chunk to help raise Autism awareness which is something important to our family. It helped local organizations such as AutismTN https://m.facebook.com/45681198325/
and at the same time also helped knock off an age-old bucket list item for this old dude!
