How incredibly lucky are we? Being entrusted to care for our patients is truly such a beautiful thing. We adore each and every one of the beautiful families that come into our care and getting baby snuggles at the end is seriously just the cherry on top! Midwife Christina got to love on this little 6 week cutie today while we celebrated his and his awesome mommy’s graduation.

Choosing where to give birth is one of the most important decisions families make during pregnancy.
Home birth, birth center birth, or hospital birth all offer different environments, benefits, and considerations.
For many families, this choice feels deeply personal and tied to their values, experiences, and sense of safety.
Some women feel most comfortable giving birth at home with a midwife.
Others prefer the balance of a birth center.
And many choose hospital birth because of the immediate access to medical care.
There are also women who choose unassisted birth, sometimes called free birth, often due to past trauma or previous birth experiences. While autonomy in birth decisions is important, giving birth without a trained provider carries significant risks and is generally not recommended because emergencies can happen quickly.
The most important thing is that families have access to clear information and supportive providers so they can thoughtfully choose what is safest and best for their pregnancy and their baby.
Birth is not one-size-fits-all.

Early this morning, surrounded by his older siblings and wrapped in love by his mom, dad, birth assistant and wonderful midwife this little man made his entrance into the world. His mommy was so strong, confident and sure of herself, her body and her ability to birth. It was a beautiful sight and we are so happy to welcome him to the In Due Season family!!!!
