What’s the hype on Camelina Oil? Don’t bite on it folks! The hype is that it is supposed to be the richest source of Omega3 and perfect ratio of 2:1 omega3 and Omega 6’s. Well here are the real facts:
Camelina has a omega 3 ALA % at about 39% and omega 6 of 18%. Almost 2:1
Flax oil omega3 is 57% ALA and omega 6 of 16% about 3:1 ratio. The fact that most feeds have way too much 6 would mean having 3:1 ratio would be much more advantageous and health promoting. So Don’t believe the hype… Don’t pay more for a novel ingredient that gives you less not more than a proven nutritive oil like our Omega36 Oil or SuperOmega36+E Oil.
Anyone that tells you Camelina oil is better than Flax oil is either ignorant or telling you a big fib!!! Most likely just ignorant but beware! Don’t pay more and get less!!!

Spring is here! Protect your horse from the dangers of early spring grass digestive issues. Start out slowly with pasture grazing limited with muzzle use and grazing time monitored. It sounds like a lot of trouble but it beats paying for a vet visit for colic and or founder and the terrible suffering that goes with it.
