Congratulations to David Hightower on being named the 2025 Tennessee High School Athletic Trainer of the Year! As Maury Regional Health’s athletic training supervisor and full-time athletic trainer for Spring Hill High School, David has spent the past 20 years making a lasting impact on student-athletes and the broader community.

He has championed innovation throughout his career, being the first athletic trainer in the region to bring electronic neurocognitive concussion testing and AEDs to the Maury County Public Schools. Under his leadership, his team of six athletic trainers covered 1,154 games this past year, surpassing their previous record of 1,125 games.

Maury Regional Health is proud to offer sports medicine and athletic training services to area schools in Maury, Lewis and Marshall counties. This dedicated and skilled team of health care professionals strive to keep our community's student-athletes safe, healthy and performing at their best.
