❄️ Freezing Temperatures Expected Overnight — Warming Center Open ❄️
Freezing temperatures are forecasted overnight tonight, and Hernando County Emergency Management, in partnership with the City of Brooksville, is reminding residents that a Warming Center will be open to help keep community members safe.
🔥 Warming Center Details:
🕗 Open: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
📍 Location: Enrichment Center
800 John Gary Grubbs Blvd., Brooksville, FL
The Warming Center will remain open throughout the night to provide a warm, safe place for individuals who may be vulnerable to cold weather conditions.
⚠️ Please Note:
• Meals and cots are not provided
• Pets are not allowed inside the facility
🧤 Cold Weather Safety Reminders:
• Stay indoors and limit exposure to cold temperatures
• Bring pets inside — do not leave them outdoors overnight
• Cover or move cold-sensitive plants indoors
• Consider running pool pumps overnight to prevent freeze damage
• Check on neighbors, elderly residents, and those without adequate heat
