This past Friday, me and the team did something for the first time, and it was such a humbling experience.

Earlier this year, we polled our team on what they would like to do for our office Christmas party. Usually we go have a really nice dinner and drinks and socialize as a team with our spouses, while also doing a small gift exchange. This year, the team wanted to keep it smaller and have a Christmas brunch and go shopping for children in need. When we reached out to some local charities about Toys for Tots, we were told that the deadlines for them to accept things had already passed. So we scrambled for new options. We then reached out to the Director of the Well Outreach in Spring Hill to see if they had a family they knew that needed help this Christmas.

Well, we were blessed to receive notification of a family of 6 going through a really rough time. We piled in our cars after breakfast, headed to Target, and proceeded to fill 4 shopping carts of gifts for this family. God commands us to give with a cheerful heart, and that’s what I saw out of every member of our team! Such an amazing team building experience for us all, myself included!

We can’t wait to hear about this family’s Christmas morning and we hope the gifts you receive can be used and enjoyed to their best! God bless you all and Merry Christmas!!!

Our office will be closed Monday November 3rd and Tuesday November 4th as Dr Drew is out of the state with his son at a national baseball tourney in Houston TX. He will return for patient care on Wednesday November 5th. Thank you for your patience while he spends this quality time with his son at an extra special event he was invited to participate in representing the entire state of TN.

On November 1, 2012, Williamson Pediatric Dentistry opened its door for business for its first patients. 13 years later, look at what our practice has become. To our current and previous team members, thank you for helping WPD become one of the top pediatric dental offices in middle TN. Here’s to many more years of service to our community! It’s Fall break! Our office will be closed starting today, October 6th through next Monday October 13th. We will return with normal office hours on October 14th. During this time, we will not be available for emergent care in the office, however, if an emergency occurs, you are welcome to contact us and Dr Drew can provide guidance or recommendations until care can be provided. We hope everyone enjoys their fall break!

NOW HIRING!!!

Our team is looking to add the following members so we can continue to service the patients we see on a daily basis:

1). Dental hygienist - 4 days a week (7 am to 4 pm). Pediatric experience preferred but not mandatory

2). Dental assistant - 4 days a week (7 am to 4 pm). Pediatric experience preferred. Must have certifications for coronal polishing, nitrous oxide monitoring, and radiology. Sealant certification would also be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Our office will be closed starting today May 21, 2025 through Tuesday May 27, 2025 as Dr Drew and his family travel to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry conference. This is a great opportunity for pediatric specific dental continuing education and allows some much needed time away with family to celebrate the end of the school year! Thank you for your patience as we are away from the office!

Insurance is so frustrating! What is shared below is well written and reflects the reality of the insurance industry. Please know that we do our best to get things approved before treatment is performed but insurance doesn’t care about you and your treatment benefits. They just care about collecting your premiums and minimizing what they will pay out to your provider, which is why insurance CEOs like the one from Delta Dental make multimillion dollar salaries every year.

We are in a world now where many dental offices are starting to transition away from being in network with any insurance companies, placing the sole responsibility of payment for dental care on the patient alone. Dentists are becoming tired of providing quality continuous care for patients while insurance companies deny payment for services rendered, making us eat the cost of treatment and telling us we cannot charge the patient. Be prepared in the months and years to come! But more importantly, be informed about your insurance benefits and what will and will not be covered for you. We will do our best to help you with this information.

We are currently seeking new members for our team including: administrative / receptionist ; dental hygienist; dental assistant with coronal polishing and nitrous oxide monitoring (sealant certification would also be beneficial but not mandatory).

Hours of operation are 7 am to 4 pm Monday through Thursday. Solo doctor practice of 12 years with a great reputation in our community.
