Sunshine joined CCFR on December 11, 2023, following years of dedicated service as CEO of Citrus County Abuse Shelter Association (CASA). With funding from the Opioid Settlement, her addition to our Community Paramedicine Program has truly transformed lives.

Working alongside our Community Paramedics, Sunshine provides:
✔️ In-field mental health support
✔️ Addiction recovery resources
✔️ Psychosocial care coordination
✔️ Access to long-term support and harm reduction

This team-based model ensures that CCFR addresses not only emergencies but also the root causes behind many 911 calls—especially for those struggling with substance-use disorders and mental health challenges.
