Please join us in welcoming Al to our Spring Hill community. 💙

Originally from Cookeville, Al spent many years in Florida, where he built a career as a professor in music education. He shared 62 wonderful years with his wife, Pat, raising a family and creating a lifetime of memories that now include children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He enjoys time outdoors, especially fishing, and is a proud Florida State Seminoles fan, so you’ll want to talk football with him during the season.

When asked what he loves most about Morning Pointe so far, Al shared it’s the welcoming atmosphere, the delicious food, and the people who make it feel special.

We’re so glad you’re here, Al. Welcome to the Morning Pointe family.

What happens after rehab ends? 🏥

Recovery after a fall or injury does not always stop when rehabilitation does. For many older adults, the next phase of recovery happens with the right daily support.

This clinical case study from Morning Pointe Senior Living explores how consistent therapy, nursing oversight, nutritious meals, and daily engagement helped a resident continue gaining strength and confidence after a hip fracture. Over time, measurable improvements in balance, mobility, and independence began to take shape.

It is one real example of how assisted living can support recovery and improve day-to-day quality of life.

When you’re looking for the right place for someone you love, you notice everything. ❤️

The building, the atmosphere… but more than anything, the people.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about how a place looks. It’s about how your loved one is cared for, spoken to, and supported each day.

That’s what stood out most to Jim and his family.

His story is a reminder that real peace of mind comes from knowing your loved one is surrounded by people who truly care.

We just want to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️💚

We had some very festive residents today that we just had to share. To celebrate, we spent time learning the story of how Christianity was brought to Ireland, enjoyed some green smoothies, and had fun with St. Patrick’s Day-themed trivia.

We’re ending the day with music, making it a full day of celebration, connection, and a little extra luck.

What a great day! ☘️

Things got a little messy and a lot of fun during our Pi Day celebration. 🥧

To celebrate 3.14, associates took part in our annual staff pie-eating contest, and it did not disappoint. With the clock set for 3 minutes and 14 seconds, everyone gathered around to cheer on the contestants as they raced to finish their pies.

This year we crowned a new champion, with Cole taking home the trophy after an impressive performance. 🏆

But one of the most memorable moments of the day came when Dustin kept his promise to Pat, giving her the chance to throw a pie right in his face. Pat declared it “the best day ever,” and the room was filled with laughter.

Moments like these bring residents and associates together through laughter, shared experiences, and the kind of fun that makes the community feel like home.

Memory changes can raise a lot of quiet questions for families. Is this just part of getting older, or is something more going on? And what can we actually do to support brain health along the way? 🧠

The encouraging news is that simple daily habits can make a meaningful difference. Movement, creativity, conversation, and learning new things all help keep the brain active and engaged.

At Morning Pointe Senior Living, we often talk with families about practical ways to support cognitive health and meaningful daily engagement. In this week’s Understanding Senior Living blog, we’re sharing simple brain activities you can start right away, along with insights from brain health expert Dr. Gregory Jicha of the UK Sanders-Brown Center on Aging.

These ideas can help support focus, confidence, and connection at any stage of aging.
