Thank you to all my customers and the community for showing your support this past week. I have always had the best interests of this community in mind when I’ve done anything at the pharmacy. Increased interest rates and ridiculously low reimbursements from insurance carriers have made the past 2 years very difficult for independent pharmacies to survive. This is what pushed me to rent out part of my building, to help cover costs. I never thought I would be told I’m going to lose a lot of my business because I rented to a metaphysical store. It disappoints me that my new neighbors had to experience this side of a wonderful community that has shown me nothing but support. From my understanding these same people are planning to meet with the churches and supposedly protest against Southside amd Sage N Smudge. This is their right, but I have to question their values when they are passing judgement and trying to affect people’s livelihoods. Is this what their version of the Bible teaches? If so then it’s not the one I am familiar with that is a book of love and light and not one of hate and fear. If you are a customer and don’t know me better than this, then I would prefer you move your business elsewhere, this is a business of helping others, showing respect, and giving love and light to anyone that crosses these doors . That being said, I hope you all take a moment to visit Sage N Smudge and welcome them to Spring Hope, and show them beautiful side of the community that I have known for the past 23 years. Spread Love, not Fear!
