Restful Sleep MD I help parents and their children prioritize and obtain restful sleep for their optimal health

More than 50% of people with ADHD also have an underlying sleep disorder.

That can include:

- Insomnia
- Restless Legs Syndrome
- Sleep Apnea
- Circadian Rhythm Disorders
- Even nutritional deficiencies that impact sleep quality

And here’s why this matters…

When sleep disorders are identified and treated, we often see:

✔ Better focus
✔ Better emotional regulation
✔ Better daytime energy
✔ Sometimes reduced symptom severity

This is NOT about replacing ADHD treatment.
This is about making sure we are not missing treatable root causes.

If you or your child has ADHD and is still struggling with sleep, exhaustion, or focus, it may be time to look deeper.

👉 Were you (or your child) ever screened for sleep disorders during an ADHD evaluation?

The anxiety about not sleeping can be worse than the actual sleep loss. ☹️☹️

👉🏽 Studies actually show that sleep related anxiety, predicts daytime impairment, and actual poor sleep duration.

This means worrying about sleep may potentially be making your sleep worse.

Worrying about sleep activates your sympathetic nervous system system, which is the exact opposite of what you need to fall asleep 😴

You are now in fight flight mode and the harder you try to sleep the harder it is.

It's essentially hitting in the gas pedal when trying to brake 😟😟😟

This is why I often recommend cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia for patients struggling with this ✨✨✨

Ready to move towards sleep rather than away from it?
