What does acute sinusitis look like? 🤧🦠
Acute sinusitis is a bacterial infection of the sinuses, often following a viral respiratory illness or cold, that causes facial pressure, congestion, thick nasal drainage, headache, and reduced sense of smell.
Treatment may include:
✔️ Saline rinses
✔️ Nasal steroid sprays
✔️ Decongestants
✔️ Antibiotics when appropriate
See an otolaryngologist (ENT) if symptoms last more than 10 days, worsen after initial improvement, are severe (fever, facial swelling), or keep coming back.
Early care can help you breathe—and feel—better sooner!
