Spring break (yoga edition) 🤍
new studio for - class times Saturday 11am + Monday 5pm
flowed at the new in Wall, NJ. This studio is a perfect location for my summer day trips to the Spring Lake beach 😍
got to go to the gym with my dad! I’m so proud of him, his New Year’s resolution was to start strength training & he’s done it ✔️
Princeton University Art Museum - this piece of art is from the Song Dynasty in China (1127 AD). It’s of the Buddhist deity of Infinite Compassion. She’s seated in the “royal-ease” pose. I immediately thought of the peace gained from yoga to sit so comfortably + confidently.
in this exhibit, the artist Toshiko Takaezu made sculptures inspired by the human body. This one is called “Torso”. In yoga class, I like to speak to this area of the body as a “container” (pelvic floor is the bottom, diaphragm is the top) so this piece of art displayed that beautifully! In your practice, keep your container strong + tight to move with stability.
on the walk through the campus, I saw all these flyers for lectures. Gosh I miss college when your one job was to learn! Per the question on the poster - is divine love rare or everywhere? (It’s everywhere).
outside coffee in Manasquan, NJ. I thought of the importance of dreaming + surrounding yourself with those that believe in you.
coffee with my parents. I try to never take a moment with them for granted. I try to soak up all the wisdom + love I can from them 🤍 being aware of the impermanence of life brings gratitude to every corner.
at the time of spring break, I was deep in the Aries new beginnings feels
