Good Evening all!~
Tonight I am welcoming you from our Infrared Sauna, so you can probably guess the premise of today’s post.
We are going to be talking about how our therapy room here at 701 Center can aid you if you have SAD! More specifically what the Infrared Sauna and Red light can do to benefit you.
If you do not know what an Infrared Sauna is, we have a few other posts here on the page that go into detail about its benefits and how it works.
An Infrared Sauna is great for SAD, because of its warm and calming heat, instead of the suffocating steam of a regular sauna. The heat of an Infrared Sauna is more gentle and comforting, which makes it calming to our nervous system, as well as aching joints and muscles.
Another great thing about our Infrared Sauna is that you can experience Light Therapy while you relax! If you do not know what Light Therapy is, I have made a few other posts in the past on this page that go into greater detail that would be great reads!
Light Therapy is great for balancing our physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual bodies. Here I am basking in some red light, which is great for calming the nervous system and reducing inflammation! It also is a great healer to the liver.
If you are looking to make the most out of your experience in the Infrared Sauna, it is also a great place to meditate! My previous post actually talks about how meditation is a beneficial practice for those who struggle with SAD, so I suggest checking that out as well!
An example of a meditation that you could do in our Infrared Sauna is focus on your breath and envision yourself inhaling the red light and all of its benefits, and exhaling any depression, anxiety, aching joints etc.
