🌊 Meditation on the Beach
**Honoring September 11th
* Sit on the sand, close your eyes, and feel the earth beneath you. Listen to the rhythm of the waves — steady, eternal, like the heartbeat of God.
* Take a deep breath. With every inhale, receive God’s peace. With every exhale, release fear, anxiety, or sorrow.
* Begin with **Psalm 46:1**:
> *“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”*
As the waves wash in and out, remember that God’s presence has always been with us — in the darkest moments, and in the slow rebuilding of life after loss.

# # # Remembering Loss & Shared Humanity
* Reflect on that morning of September 11th — where you were, what you saw, how you felt. Many of us carry images and emotions that words cannot fully capture.
* Some lost loved ones. Others lost their sense of safety. Many found themselves wrestling with anger, fear, and questions about God.
* Hold these memories gently in your heart. Imagine setting them in the sand at your feet, letting the tide of God’s mercy wash over them.
* Recall **Psalm 34:18**:
> *“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”*

# # # Encountering God in Grief
* Think about moments of grief in your own life — not only on September 11th, but any time when the weight of the world pressed down.
* In those moments, perhaps someone reached out with kindness, a stranger offered help, or silence itself became sacred. These small acts of light are signs of God’s Spirit at work.
* Remember **John 1:5**:
> *“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”*

# # # Hope in Daily Living
* September 11th reminds us that life is fragile. Yet in Christ, life is also eternal. The hope we carry is not only for heaven, but for every sunrise, every breath, every act of love we give and receive.
* Think about your own life: moments when God has carried you, when prayers were answered quietly, when unexpected strength rose within you.
* Reflect on **Romans 8:38–39**:
> *“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come… will
