We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy, and enjoying the warmer weather!
We wanted to also send out a reminder to everyone that 10/33 is available to provide transfer services to all the local hospitals. If you or a loved one is being transferred to another hospital, we can provide that service from a local ambulance service, in a timely manner. You and your family have the legal right to choose which ambulance service you would like to use, as you always have a choice in your care. We can provide these services to our local residents at a lower cost, resulting from in-district charges and discounts. You also have the right to know what the charges will be for the transfer before you accept the service. 10/33 provides upfront information regarding our charges in writing at the time of service. We strongly recommend you request this information from any of the ambulance services before agreeing to their services.
If you have the need for ambulance services, please remember your local ambulance service can provide that service, at a lower cost, with a quicker response, with no surprise billing later. 10/33 has the ability to provide all levels of care, from Basic to the highest Critical Care levels without difficulty, with local EMS professionals. All you need to do is request 10/33 Ambulance to the hospital staff when transfer services are needed, and they are required to respect your wishes. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Director Bob Hoscheid or the Shift Supervisor at 815-663-6683 and we can answer those or assist in setting up your transfer.
Thank you for supporting your local EMS service!!
