Yesterday we had the honor of celebrating the retirement of Sue Blanco, who has dedicated over 40 years to keeping the books balanced at BKC Eyecare.

It was a heartfelt and intimate afternoon surrounded by our staff, past pillars of the practice, and Sue’s immediate family. We shared stories, laughter, and a few tears as we reflected on all Sue has given to our team.

Sue’s legacy isn’t just in the work she’s done, but in the care, consistency, and friendship she’s shown us along the way. 💙

💙 Happy 2-Year Work Anniversary to Anna!

This one is bittersweet…

Anna has been a shining part of our Spring Valley office for the past two years and next week, we say goodbye (for now) as she heads off to Illinois State University to continue her education after graduating from IVCC this spring. 💜🦅

From day one, she has brought warmth, positivity, and true care to everyone around her. We are going to miss her sweet smile and steady presence, but we are also so proud and excited for everything ahead.

Congratulations To The Class of 2025, Everywhere!

We’re sending a big round of applause to all the area graduates and a heartfelt shoutout to our very own 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 on her graduation from Illinois Valley Community College!

By the time Anna heads off to Illinois State University, she will have been a valued member of our team for two years. Throughout that time, she’s consistently demonstrated outstanding customer service, been a true team player, and balanced it all while attending school full time.

Anna is going to be truly missed, not just by all of us here in the office, but by the many patients she’s left a lasting impression on. We’re so proud of everything she’s accomplished and can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next.

𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: all three of our providers also graduated from IVCC before transferring to the Illinois College of Optometry. We are incredibly lucky to have such a strong community college right here in our region!
