🦷 Ever hear us say “Let’s put a watch on #2”?🧐
That means your tooth is in the early stage of a cavity — decay is still confined to the enamel and hasn’t yet reached the dentin (the layer beneath).
At this stage, good news! You can often reverse the decay with consistent brushing, flossing, and fluoride treatments.
However, once decay breaks through to the dentin, the cavity can’t be reversed and needs to be filled. If left untreated, it can progress and eventually require a root canal.
🪥 The key? Catch it early — don’t skip your checkups!
