Are you visiting this page hoping to enhance your marriage or repair a troubled relationship? If so, be assured, you are not alone. All intimate relationships have conflict and all committed partnerships go through struggle. Conflict is a natural, inevitable, even valuable part of the growth and development of a committed love relationship. Your hopes for real change and lasting love can be realized: There is a new way to love - a way to heal the pain, repair rupture and transform relationship troubles into the secure and passionate connection we all desire with our partner.
My name is Laura Jean Bell and I am a Marriage Therapist and Couple Counselor available to help you and your partner find your way and do just that. As an Imago Relationship Therapist, I come to you with a compassionate and equitable perspective for understanding intimate love partnership and a user-friendly way of navigating through the struggles to connect. Imago Relationship Therapy is a new way to love.
I am a Couple Therapist - I approach psychotherapy from the relational perspective, supporting the individuals in the partnership by way of the partnership, itself. For some, this is a radical approach. Helping couples understand their two person system and helping partners stretch into meeting the needs of the relationship - so that the space between them becomes secure and connecting - is uniquely pivotal for true relationship change andparadoxically powerful for each partner's individual healing and personal growth.
Imago is a relational theory and practice that gives couples and individuals an insightful understanding of their relationship troubles and a roadmap for practical change and real transformation that is compassionate and makes sense. A seasoned therapist with over 30 years experience, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities in helping partners connect, heal and grow. I have specialized training in Couple Therapy and my Private Practice is devoted to couples and Couple Counseling.
Imago Relationship Therapy is the core model that grounds my work. In more recent years, I have additionally been incorporating PACT Couple Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy in my Couple Counseling Practice. With Imago, PACT and EFT, I offer you and your partner a more mindfully aware, mutually respectful and empathic path to a new way to love.
