After going to car shows and being in the scene for 50+ years, Joe was always on top of everything. This video was done by Kal Smith in October last year when Joe was in New Orleans for his sister’s funeral and they were able to catch a cruise night while there.
If you spent any time with Joe this will remind you of that time. Enjoy.

This is Robert. Today at 3:57 Joe passed on. Michelle said he went peacefully without pain. We lost a legend today. The most talented person I’ve known. He was the most kind and gentle soul that any of us knew and he will live on in many people. There is a memorial set up in Louisiana for him.

Huge thank you to everyone who made it out today. Just got home from dropping off the can and money. We raised 9k for Joe and Michelle. They were overwhelmed with the gift from all of us. Thank y’all

Hello everyone, Robert here.
Latest news on our friend. Joe was released from the hospital last Wednesday evening after a 9 day visit, with 2 days in ICU. Very weak and not able to eat. When he was released the doctors told him that there is nothing else they can do for him. His body can’t take anymore treatments and they said it’s time to go into hospice. The doctors said they have no idea how long he has left. They prescribed morphine for the pain and said to try to have some good days. I’ve already contacted most of his close friends that I could and if I missed you please don’t take it personally. I talked with Michelle Thursday and she said visitors would be good. Please call in advance of your visit to make sure he’s able to see ya.

Robert here, talked to Joe last night and he was beyond happy. Even after a day of cemo he was in very good spirits. He said he had no idea he had that many friends and tha he still has cards to open. Thank y’all for helping me out on this. We gave him a very special day and it’s all thanks to y’all. 🎉

Hey everyone, Robert here.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Some of y’all know but for the ones that don’t, Joe’s birthday is coming up. January 13th he will be 78yrs old. He had a pretty rough end of 2020 with the loss of his sister (who lived with and took care of their mother) passed in October or November. Then had 3 of the cancers start acting up again brain, lung, and lymph node. They radiated the brain around Halloween and he hasn’t been well enough for the others yet. The day after Christmas his lymph nodes became infected and spent 5 days in the ER. He’s back home now. Before Christmas he had been out in the shop some and was able to do some striping.

I know it’s a little short notice but I’d like to see how many birthday cards we can stuff in his mailbox. The last time we did this he was very excited with all the cards and letters from y’all. His birthday is next Wednesday so if ya can remember a card next time your our grab one and send it to him please. Let’s give him some cheer.
