Lives have been lost, loved ones remain missing and entire communities face immense challenges. My heart goes out to everyone affected by these devastating floods, including one of our very own clients who’s suffered such a heartbreaking loss.

It has taken me days to come up with the right words only to realize there aren’t any. All I know is at times like these it is important to remain strong for our friends and neighbors and be the support they need during this difficult time.

In the spirit of compassion and community Refine Skin Spa will be donating 15% off all facials this week to the Kerr County Relief Fund.

If you are unable able to come in this week for a facial, feel free to send any donation to my Venmo account or find somewhere and someway to help your fellow man. Every penny, piece of equipment, and volunteer hour helps and can save lives.

Sunscreen 101:

What is broad spectrum sunscreen….?

The term for a sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays is known as ‘broad-spectrum’ protection.

What does broad spectrum sunscreen do…?

Regular sunscreens, those without a broad spectrum claim, protect against UVB radiation, the main cause of sunburn and a significant factor in skin cancer. Broad spectrum sunscreens, however, provide a defense against both UVB and UVA rays and further protect against skin cancer.

How do I know my sunscreen is broad spectrum?

In the United States, only sunscreens and cosmetics labeled as Broad Spectrum provide protection from both damaging forms of radiation.

What a journey we have been on!

From global pandemic shut downs, to hurricanes and cold fronts hitting Houston to, moving homes 3 times, sending my girl off to college, bouts of fear and questioning my judgment, to new product lines, a location change and everything in between WE MADE IT another year!! 👏🏼
