Anticipated Joy is a company that provides Doula and Childbirth Education services to expectant moth My name is Rachel . I am a stay at home mom and wife.

I have two sweet boys who I adore and a loving and supportive husband of 6 years. love being a doula because I love educating women and empowering them to make the best choices for who they are and their lifestyle. Having personal experience with different types of births I feel that I can relate to many different women and give them the care and understanding they need without any judgment. I have had a birth with an epidural and a natural birth so I have a wide perspective of what Each of those types of births entail. My goal is to advocate and support each woman based on her specific desires and needs and be a sounding board should she have any concerns during this vulnerable time in her life. I offer Birth Doula services as well as Child Birth Education. Congratulations on your growing family and I look forward to getting to know you and sharing this exciting time in your life with you.

My mom’s biggest piece of parenting advice has been “the way we speak to our kids is how they think of themselves”. I have not always been perfect but I try hard everyday to let my kids know how valuable they are and how loved they are. What is the best piece of parenting advice you have ever received?

So many of my friends have suffered through pregnancy with this condition. It can be very traumatic thing to go through and I think sometimes he will accuse moms of being overly dramatic about their “morning sickness” HG is very real and very very hard. Let’s come beside our moms with HG and offer support, meals, childcare and anything else they need. It’s much more than just morning sickness.
