Middletown Eye Care
A good reminder for all of us while screen time is on the rise!
Thank you for allowing us to take care of your eye care needs during this time, we are still able to help you via telephone Monday - Friday 9AM to 4PM.
Our office is still available for phone calls, contact lens orders and curbside pick up while operating on a shortened schedule. We will do our best to meet your eye wear and contact lens needs while also limiting exposure and spread of the virus to patients and staff. We will continue to provide urgent and emergent care on a case by case basis by appointment only. Please check our website for the most current info. At this time all appointments scheduled prior to May 1st will be rescheduled. This is a very fluid situation and we will do our best to keep our patients updated.
In this world of uncertainty, we appreciate your understanding. We hope at the very least that times like these remind us that we are all in this together. We as a team appreciate your small business support now and always.
Current schedule Monday-Friday
The CDC just released guidelines recommending the cancellation of all routine eye care visits to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus. We're sorry to inform you that we will close our office to routine eye exams. This has not been an easy decision and we apologize for the inconvenience, but we want to do our part to curb the outbreak and hopefully save lives as a result. The health and safety of our patients and staff are our primary concern. At this time our plan is to re-open the week of April 13, but this is subject to change based on how things evolve.
We will continue to provide urgent and emergent care on a case by case basis and by appointment only. Our office will be open to phone calls on Monday-Friday from 9-4. We are able to ship new contact lens orders to your home. Existing orders of contact lenses and glasses will be available for curbside pick-up - please contact our office to make arrangements. We appreciate your patience in this situation and hope that it can be resolved quickly.
***3/17/2020 Important Update***
In order to comply with state and federal government recommendations, patient's companions, including children, will not be permitted in our office with the exception of an essential caregiver. If a patient requires a driver we ask that they wait in their car until time for pick up. We ask that if you don't have pressing eye care needs that you delay your visit until social distancing restrictions have been lifted. Please contact our office ASAP if you need to cancel your visit due to these restrictions.
We will conduct as much business via phone and email as possible at this time. We are still allowing frame selection but have modified the process in order to ensure that all eye wear and surfaces are sanitized before and after use. Our office values the safety and welfare of our patients and staff. Due to the recent emergence of the Covid-19 virus we ask for your patience in allowing us to continue to serve your eye care needs while also keeping the public and our staff safe. We ask that if you experience a fever, symptoms of the cold, flu, or respiratory infection that you reschedule or delay your appointments and visits to our office. If you or your family have been exposed to Covid-19 we ask that you wait 14 symptom free days before visiting our office. Our staffing, supply chain and ability to provide service may be impaired due to illness, quarantine and delivery issues. Please be patient as we work through these issues. We encourage you to order contact lenses and eyeglasses well in advance to account for possible delays. We will do everything within our control to minimize the impact to our patients and provide the level or service our patients are accustomed to.
We will be more lenient with our cancellation policy during this period and ask that you provide our office with as much advance notice as possible.
The sun will come out tomorrow...

What do you say we forgo the grandiose resolutions this year? Instead, we could, you know, do little things that go a long way. I vote we send thoughtful texts, compliment strangers, laugh off things that we could have taken offense to etc. The way I see it, these kinds of gestures are just what we need to get off to a great start in 2020!
In this issue, we've got a little something for everyone. First, we're proud to introduce you to Long Cleaners! Wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday season!!!
During her first year with us, Dr. Katherine Fisher is making a huge impact in our practice and throughout the state of Ohio by taking excellent care of her patients and being passionate about bringing awareness to the subjects of vision and eye health.
Dr Fisher was recently nominated and voted onto the board of the Ohio Optometric Foundation, the foundation is committed to improving the vision and eye health of children and other Ohioans in visual need by providing access to necessary eye care.
Dr. Fisher is an also an active member of the Young OD program where she volunteers her time to participate in events such as the iSee, a program designed to bridge the gap for students that are at a significant risk of falling behind due to not having proper eye care or eyewear.
We are proud of Dr Fisher and her diligence in educating not only her own patients in the areas of eye care, but investing her time to the cause that she cares so deeply about.
