As EMS Week comes to an end, we wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of our EMS providers for everything they do everyday to serve the community.
A little over a year ago now, we decided to venture into paid staffing to ensure Northwestern Crawford County has no interruption in emergency medical services being available to them in their time of need. This has been a tremendous help to our service and has helped the volunteers not be ran into the ground causing burnout. Between the paid staff, volunteers, and collaborative effort that we have with the dual dispatching with Fellows Club (Conneautville), ensuring uninterrupted 24/7/365 service would be near impossible. Dual dispatching with Conneautville ensures 24/7 coverage while also giving each department time off, which is a necessity. There has been a lot of changes in the past year for Springboro Ambulance, we have transitioned to combination paid/volunteer, upgraded our license to Intermediate Advanced Life Support due to the shortage of paramedics, taken on new area to cover as the first due service (with Conneautville of course), gotten new updated equipment, and so much more.
Thank you to our communities and municipalities for having our backs no matter what comes our way. Without all of you and your support, this mission that we achieve daily would be much more difficult! A very special thank you goes to Linesville VFW for taking time yesterday to come out and personally thank each one of our members and present them with certificates of appreciation for the services provided!
Happy EMS week to all of our surrounding services and all EMS providers out there!
