Lucy shares why being able to help patients who aren’t fluent in English is so meaningful to her. She knows firsthand how important it is to have someone translate and make sure your voice is heard — because she’s done the same for her own parents. At GI Alliance, we’re committed to making sure every patient feels seen, understood, and cared for.

Meet Dr. Sidney Vinson—a proud Fayetteville native with a heart for service and a passion for GI care!

Before returning to Arkansas, Dr. Vinson served as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and Assistant Chief of Gastroenterology at Womack Army Medical Center in North Carolina. After 12 years of military service, he and his family came home to Northwest Arkansas to be part of the community they love.

Dr. Vinson brings skill, experience, and compassion to every patient he sees, and we're proud to have him on our team!

Did you know chronic acid reflux can lead to a condition called Barrett’s esophagus? Over time, ongoing GERD can cause changes in the lining of your esophagus—raising your risk (even slightly) for esophageal cancer.

The good news? Barrett’s esophagus can be monitored and managed with the right care.
If you or a loved one has frequent heartburn or GERD, it’s important to stay on top of screenings.
