It is with heavy hearts to share the recent loss of a cherished coworker and an even better friend, Janet Holman. Janet was a beautiful soul and a breast cancer survivor. She turned her own story into a lifeline to bring hope and inspiration to others. As a breast cancer survivor, she often said The Breast Center saved her life, and she returned that gift by joining our team to support others facing a diagnosis. To Janet, there were no strangers, only opportunities to share her kindness, resilience, faith, and optimism with others.
Our clinic manager, Kim, remembers her fondly, stating, βI was truly blessed to have Janet in my life, and she always knew how to give me words of encouragement when I needed them, and I did the same for her in those times. I will miss my friend but will also cherish all those fond memories of her.β
Her legacy lives on through the breast cancer survivor portraits from various photoshoots throughout the years on our clinic walls and through the light she brought into our clinics. Her journey continues to inspire us to champion early detection and breast health education. We will miss her deeply, and our thoughts are with her dear family. If you have a lovely memory of Janet, please share it in the comments so her loved ones can see how many lives she truly touched. β€οΈ
