Celebrating 4 Years of Leah & Miriam at the CSC!

When Miriam, initially a volunteer, joined the team, it marked the first time we had two Spanish-speaking advocates, paving the way for a more inclusive and culturally competent team. Her passion for child safety and child abuse prevention continues to shine through in her work as both an advocate and a prevention educator.

Leah, our Office Administrator, has been a driving force behind our efficiency and modernization. Her creation of a volunteer program has brought in invaluable support for our staff and strengthened the way we serve children and families.

We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication, hard work, and positive energy that Leah and Miriam bring to the CSC. Their contributions have made a lasting impact on our organization and on the lives of the children we serve. 🤍

UPDATE: Thanks to YOUR generosity, our teen client now has his very own football gear—and the moment we shared it with him and his family was unforgettable. His mom kissed him on the forehead as they all said “thank you” over and over. 🥹

As he opened each item, he kept saying how excited he was to finally have his own gear instead of borrowing from friends. Specifically, he shared about a pair of gloves which had holes in them, so they no longer worked, and as a wide receiver, he really needed them. I mean, we could go on y'all🥹

This family was overwhelmed with gratitude, and our client is already talking about how much more confident he’ll feel at his upcoming games. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for helping make this possible. 🩵

🏈 A Teen’s Wish: Football Gear

We have a client, a teenage boy, who has found so much healing and confidence through football this year. 💙 Coming from a family with very high needs, he doesn’t have access to the gear he needs—and like many teens, he worries about being teased for what he does have. Football has given him belonging, joy, and strength during such a difficult season of life, and we’d love to rally together to support him.

✨ A Little More About Him:
This young man moved from the Marshall Islands. Recently, when our team brought him a McDonald’s meal—the first restaurant food he’d had since moving here—he lit up with excitement. Even though it was such a rare treat, he saved half of his burger to take back and share with his friend at school. That’s just the kind of heart he has. 🥹

Let’s show him the same kindness he shows others. If you’d like to purchase one of these football items for him, it would mean the world. Together, we can remind him that he is seen, supported, and not alone. 💛

Big thank you to Farmington Arkansas Police Department for organizing an amazing donation of snacks for our clients!

They stopped by for a tour, noticed we were low on snacks, and had this & more at our doors in 24 hours.

Today we celebrate an extraordinary milestone — Karen’s 28th year at the CSC! 🩵

What began as a volunteer role has grown into nearly three decades of service, compassion, and expertise. Today, as a Forensic Interviewer, Karen continues to be a steady voice and safe presence for children during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Her commitment reminds us that our mission is carried out one child, one family, one moment at a time. Karen has given thousands of those moments over the years — always with kindness and an open heart.
