In Loving Memory of Alan Wayne Cox Sr.
September 19, 1945 – April 7, 2026

Alan Wayne Cox Sr. passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of April 7, 2026 with his devoted wife by his side. Born in Patterson, California, Alan was a devoted family man known for his quick wit and his many passions.

He married the love of his life, Cheryl Wojcik Cox, July 9th , 1965. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage and three precious children that Alan loved immensely. If you asked Alan what he was most proud of, without hesitation, he would say " my children. "

In his early sixties, Alan was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He found great joy in reading the Bible and was dedicated to sharing his faith, often speaking to others about Jehovah and the hope of God’s Kingdom.

Alan was an avid fisherman and a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He also spent much of his time tinkering in his shed. He was a frequent visitor to Harbor Freight, where he added to his extensive tool collection, maintaining a particular fondness for flashlights. He also enjoyed the daily newspaper comics and was well known for his signature "dad jokes." Especially during retirement he loved spending time with his family, enjoyed being teased relentlessly by his boys, and he loved listening to people and giving them an opportunity to tell their story.

In the kitchen, Alan was famous for his fish fries and his creative recipes, though he always remained a fan of simple vanilla bean ice cream. Later in life, he shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Kenny. Alan loved having Kenny by his side and spent much of his time at home with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruby Cox, his Brother Roger Cox, and his sister Wanda Clark. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Wojcik Cox his son, Alan Cox Jr. and wife Mystina; his daughter, Sherry Clark and husband Billy; his son, Jason Cox and wife Shelley; his brother, Don Cox and wife Kim; and his grandchildren, Mallory Clark, Chance Clark, and Connor Cox. Alan’s warmth and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - 1738 Pinewoods Rd., Springdale, AR 72762.

June Patricia Myers
June 21, 1943 - March 17, 2026

June Patricia Myers, age 82, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on June 21, 1943, in New York City to Marie Moran and Ernest Lange.

June was raised in the Riverdale section of the Bronx and graduated from Elizabeth Seton College in 1963. During her high school years, she played basketball and was creative at heart. She enjoyed painting and drawing and was a gifted poet, with her work featured in the Elizabeth Seton College student literary journal, Grecian Stage, where she also served as the managing editor.

On a ski trip to Lake Placid, New York, June met the love of her life, John W. (Jack) Myers, on Leap Year Day in 1964. They were married on January 23, 1965, and together they built a life filled with adventure, devotion, and family.

June and Jack’s journey took them to Florida, Washington, D.C., and Seattle, Washington, where they welcomed their two children, Janet Marie Smyth and John William (Bill) Myers. June embraced what she considered her greatest calling: being a loving and caring mother.

In 1973, the family moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where June and Jack became active members of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. There, they formed lifelong friendships through their Sunday school class, The Fathomers. June was deeply involved in the Little Rock community, generously volunteering with the Little Rock Public School District and St. Vincent Hospital. June was also a member of the Park Plaza Bowling League and The Republican Women of Little Rock, and she proudly served as President of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. In 2019, June and Jack moved to Springdale, Arkansas, to be closer to Janet and her children, Jimmy and Jill.

June cherished every moment spent with Jack, their children, and their five grandchildren. She loved the music of Billy Joel, and one of her most treasured memories was attending a Billy Joel concert with Jack. Easter was her favorite holiday, and she delighted each spring in the blooming hyacinths and celebrating the season with her grandchildren.

June was predeceased in death by her parents, her beloved husband Jack, and her sister Doris Sinkel. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Marie Smyth, of Rogers, Arkansas; her son, John William (Bill) Myers and his wife, Laura Ann Myers, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey; her beloved grandchildren Jimmy Smyth, Jill Smyth, Madison Myers, Dillon Myers, and Ryan Myers; her cousins Gail Gallagher, Diane Mallett, Laureen Mallett, and Cynthia Garofalo, of New York; and niece Mary Farrell of Florida.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows and the Circle of Life Earlene Howard Hospice Home, both in Springdale, Arkansas, for their compassionate care and support.

As a family, we give thanks for June’s quiet, steadfast faith, which guided her through every season of life. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with Jack and embraced in God’s eternal peace. Her love remains with us, and her example will continue to lead us with strength, compassion, and grace. All glory and honor to God.

John Larry Dalrymple
November 4, 1942 - April 4, 2026

John Larry Dalrymple passed peacefully from this life on April 4, 2026 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born to Henry Homer Dalrymple and Leah Jane Mason Dalrymple on November 4, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Larry graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1960 before serving in the US Army for three years as an MP dog handler. After completing his military service, he returned to Fayetteville where he met his wife of sixty years Dixie Bailey Dalrymple.

He worked for SWEPCO as a lineman and a dispatcher before working as an arborist for American Electric Power until he retired. Larry volunteered in the Washington County Sherriff's Posse where he served as president for twenty years. During that time, he was part of the Search and Rescue SCUBA diving team. He also volunteered with Central EMS.

Larry was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He encouraged Dixie in furthering her education, her career, tole painting, and many sewing projects. His work schedule as a dispatcher varied, but he always made a point to be present for his children's school and sports activities, especially their school band performances. His sense of humor and fun showed in the way he was game to do whatever shenanigans his grandchildren had in mind. He used the handyman skills that he developed over the years for home repairs, renovating his van, and building things for his children and grandchildren, including a clubhouse with a zipline. He was loyal to everyone he befriended, keeping up his relationships with his coworkers even after they had all retired.

He is survived by his wife Dixie, son Steven Wayne Dalrymple, daughter Elizabeth Denise (Scott) Karnes, grandchildren Davis Nathaniel (Gael Langdon) Karnes, Bailey Elizabeth (Justus) Bobo, sister Elaine (Loyd) Jones, brother Hank Dalrymple, and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother- and father-in-law, and his sister-in-law Cathy Dalrymple.

Lonus George Mitchell Obituary
July 8, 1942 – March 14, 2026

Lonus George Mitchell, age 83, of Twin Oaks, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on March 14, 2026. Born on July 8, 1942, in Kansas, Oklahoma, Lonus lived a full and hardworking life rooted in love for his family, dedication to his career, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of the home.

Lonus was preceded in death by his parents, Buster Mitchell and Mable Whitlinger, and his sisters Evelyn Rogers, Darlene Hutchinson, and Ruby Mitchell. He was the only brother among his six sisters, a role he carried with quiet strength and enduring pride.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Dianne Mitchell, and his children: Darwin Mitchell and wife Sandy of Grove, Oklahoma; Jamie Mitchell of Oklahoma City; Christie Nordloh of Oklahoma City; Georgia Turtle and husband Tommy of Kansas, Oklahoma; Dewina Mitchell of Granbury, Texas; and Troy Pilcher and wife Stephanie of Kansas, Oklahoma. His legacy continues through his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply and unconditionally.

As a graduate of Kansas High School, Lonus built a respected career as a pipeline welder and was a proud member of Pipeline Local 798. Lonus was also known for “keeping the roads hot,” and his work took him far from home at times, but his heart never strayed from his family. He also carried the spirit of being a bronc rider in his younger years—tough, determined, and unafraid of hard work.

Despite his strong and, at times stubborn, nature, those who knew Lonus best understood that his stubbornness came from a place of deep commitment—especially to the people he loved. His tenderness showed in quiet but meaningful ways: in the time he spent with his grandchildren, in stories shared from the road, and in the steady presence he provided to his family.

In his later years, Lonus found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved sitting out on his porch, tending to his garden, and perfecting his homemade salsa recipe. Whether he was grilling steaks for his family, gigging, or traveling, he made every moment count. He was a devoted fan of OU football and cherished the time spent watching games surrounded by loved ones.

Lonus was baptized at Lowery Free Will Baptist Church in Lowery, Oklahoma, and carried his faith with him in his later years.

Above all, Lonus will be remembered as a man who loved fiercely and provided for his family, as this was his greatest pride and his greatest joy. His presence—strong, warm, and unwavering—will be deeply missed, but the love he gave will live on in each life he touched.
