Family Support Program

Family Support Program Arkansas Support Network’s (ASN) Family Support Program helps support parents or guardians to advocate for their children with disabilities.

The Family Support Program from Arkansas Support Network helps families that have children or young adults with disabilities by providing support and resources in special education and more. While we specialize in helping parents or guardians navigate special education, we provide training and information for all types of families, including: foster families, marginalized communities, the parents of young people in the juvenile justice system, and self advocates. In addition, we also collaborate with professionals working with these groups. We would love to hear from you! For more information, contact us at familysupport@supports.org or call (479)927-4100.

Our Story

Northwest Arkansas Community Parent Resource Center (CPRC)—the first in the state— is funded by the Office of Special Education and housed under the Arkansas Support Network Family Support Program umbrella. The NWACPRC serves families of children with disabilities ages birth through 26. It serves four counties: Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington. The CPRC, while advocating for children in special education, will specifically emphasize training and information for immigrant families, foster families, parents who are working to reunite with their children, and finally the young people in the juvenile justice system as well as their parents (if involved). In addition, the CPRC will target professionals working with these groups. We are here to help find resources, offer trainings, and assist with a multitude of other things concerning your child and the special education system. We would love to hear from you! For more information, or if you have a specific question and need help contact us at cprc@supports.org or call (479)927-4100. To learn more about ASN visit www.supports.org
