Wanted to post about our dream team here at The Bungalow's. Some of our amazing team got out in the storm to clear the storm drain of debris so that aparatments didn't flood. Last week we had the honor to " Go Gold for Blakely". What that means is that it wasn't only childhood cancer awareness day but also a beautiful day to honor our managment teams daughter who has now been cancer free for a year. Such a beautifu thing to overcome at such a young age so we showed out for her the best way we could.

Last week we got the priveledge to visit the newly built senior center. The building itself is beautiful and the amentieis were a long time coming. So happy for the new and improved things that seniors get to enjoy in our town. They have a beautiful view of the small airport which is neat to watch from the balcony. They are now two stories and have pool tables, pickle ball courts, art rooms, computer access, Shuffle board and ping pong. Downstairs they have a lovely kitchen and great stage for the band to play. They still kick off their fitness classes to keep them moving as well. So glad they have all the new things and that we get to go once a month and enjoy it. Can't wait for the next trip.

We just wanted to put out a reminder for staff, families and residents that this Friday September 19th we are GOING GOLD FOR BLAKELY!! What that means is we are wearing gold for childhood cancer awareness but Blakely is the owners daughter and we are also celebrating Blakely being cancer free for a year. So please join us in celebrating such a feat and honoring such a tough girl by wearing gold for the entire day!! Can't wait to see what everyone has!!

I want to announce that we have pinned our two Resident ambassadors one being miss Mary the other being miss Carmen. What is a resident ambassador you ask? Well I will tell you. We enlist current community members to support and welcome new residents, foster connection, and promote the communities mission. The way we do this is by acting as a helpful, friendly point of contact, sharing their personal experiences, and bridging the gap for newcomers into community life. We also want to help encorage them to come to activities staying active and social. Offering their perspective to help improve the community for all residents and SO much more. We do want to help encourage other residents that might also be interested in doing this to please let our executive director know so that we can also get them pinned and get them a name tag and get them involved in the program as well.

I wanted to share photos from out last party for assisted living week last week. Our last event was western themed and we truly hope that everyone had a great time. Want to thank Gary Cooper for coming out and entertaining all. Very professional and very good music. Thanks to everyone that came and helped make the event happen. Can't wait until next year!!
