ℹ️ Tetracycline staining ℹ️
The antibiotic tetracycline can cause staining in permanent teeth when prescribed to young children and even during a mother’s pregnancy. Tooth bleaching unfortunately will not help with the discoloration. The only way to cosmetically correct the staining is with veneers. Veneers can be either composite (bonding) pictured above or porcelain. If you have questions about tetracycline use and effects, seek advice from your P*P or local dentist.
