The top two things I hear from patients are:
1)I have "whistling" in my hearing aids
2) My hearing aids sound too quiet.
Both of these issues can easily be remedied with a knowledgeable clinician.

A new study from Keck Medicine of USC found that adults who regularly used hearing aids to address hearing loss had a 24% lower risk of death than those who never wore them. I'm wondering if this indicates an overall higher devotion to health and wellness in those patients that prioritized their hearing loss?

Earwax (cerumen) is natural. But, excessive wax can cause hearing issues and trap bacteria. Ask your doc or hearing professional to examine your ear canals at your annual check up. Some ears have more buildup than others due to oil gland production and the shape of the canal and how well it can trap wax. Most people do not have to remove wax daily and your ears will benefit from a natural amount of wax as protection from debris and moisture.
