Ever wish your gift could keep on giving?

A Donor Advised Fund, or DAF, is an easy and meaningful way to give back to your community. It works like a charitable savings account, allowing you to support causes you care about now and in the future. When you make a grant to Mercy Health Foundation through a DAF, you help expand access to compassionate care and support vital health care programs for years to come!

A new sterilization process for flexible endoscopes is improving gastrointestinal patient safety by reducing the risk of cross-contamination, while extending the shelf life of sterilized endoscopes. We're thrilled to embrace this innovative technology to help our patients and caregivers!

We saw some recognizable faces at the red carpet premiere of the upcoming film, Soul on Fire! The storyteller himself, John O’Leary, even had a chance to reunite with Dr. Vatche Ayvazian, his Mercy physician from all those years ago!

Opportunity should be open to everyone. This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re honored to share that the National Organization on Disability has named us a 2025 Leading Disability Employer. This recognition inspires us to keep pressing forward in our commitment to inclusion, and to continue creating workplaces where people of all abilities can thrive.

Marisa Hiatt, director of disability and experience, and Bridget Marzette-Bender, vice president – experience & diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, were on-site to accept the award. Thank you to Marisa, Bridget and every Mercy caregiver who made this possible!

Join Us in the Season of Creation!

Each September through October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Catholics around the world join together to renew “our relationship with our Creator and all creation.”

At Mercy, caring for creation is part of who we are. We’re reducing energy use across our facilities, not only lessening our environmental impact but also allowing more resources to go directly to patient care.

Our caregivers and patients also live this commitment daily—whether it’s through recycling, tending a garden, or supporting conservation efforts.

We invite you to pray with us and share in the celebration. Post a photo in the chat of how you care for creation—your small steps can inspire big change.

Creator of all,
we praise you for the gift of life
and for the faith that unites us in care for our common home
Prince of Peace, through your wounds, teach us to stand in solidarity
with the woundedness of others, of creation, and of the world.
Through your resurrection, make us people of hope—
May we come together as one family, to labor for your peace—
Amen

Meet Cooper Miller, a senior basketball and tennis athlete at Willard High School! 🎉 He just graduated from our Phase 2 rehab program at Mercy Sports Medicine WestEdge after his reconstructive ACL surgery. Phase 2 is such a crucial step in getting back to the game, and we're so proud of how hard Cooper worked! Now, he's enjoying his senior season on the court with his fellow Tigers! 🐯

Meet Avery Bishop! We're so excited to share that she has committed to Union University in Tennessee to play soccer! Currently a student at Nixa High School, Avery has shown incredible strength and determination by overcoming two ACL surgeries. All her rehab was done at our Healthtracks facility, and she even completed our performance program after Phase 2. Her hard work and positive attitude towards her injuries and recovery are truly inspiring, making her one of the most dedicated athletes we've seen in the last two years! Huge congratulations, Avery! Wishing you all the best in your future adventures!

Well this was a fun one. It's not often that we have Mercy team physicians on both sides of the field, but that's exactly what happened at last week's game against Lindenwood.

As the medical team for MSU student athletes, our team physicians were on the sideline when we saw some familiar faces across the field. Turns out Mercy also supports the Lions. Obviously, we had to snap a group photo!

Every quarter, all of our athletic trainers, physicians, physical therapists, physician assistants and administrators gather together in one room. It takes a lot of planning and work, but it's totally worth it, and it's one of the few times we can get the whole group together to talk about ways we can improve and recent advancements in sports medicine.

Sometimes we agree, and sometimes we don't, but we always grow! This past quarter's topic was the nervous system. We discussed the impact of the vagus nerve, neuropathic pain and quadrilateral space syndrome. Sounds fun, right? 😉

Needless to say, for our team - which focuses on an orthopedically dominant specialty - there was quite a bit of discussion and several questions came out of the meeting. Thank you to our team for their great engagement and discussion!
