đź’™ Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) affects about 5% of Americans, typically during late fall and winter. Shorter days and changes in circadian rhythm can impact mood-regulating hormones, leading to symptoms like fatigue, low mood, trouble sleeping, difficulty focusing, and appetite changes.

Support is available — treatments such as CBT, light therapy, physical activity, and staying hydrated can help improve symptoms.

More than two-thirds of the typical health center’s expenses go to wages and benefits of employees. Of course the health center’s success is completely dependent on the efforts and engagements of its workforce. Unfortunately, many compensation programs lead directly to higher employee turnover, impede employee engagement, and fail to improve productivity.
