Mental health is essential to overall health — and the need has never been greater.

📊 Nationally:
• Nearly 1 in 3 high school students report poor mental health
• About 1 in 5 adults have been diagnosed with depression
• 20% of teens report unmet mental health care needs
📍 In Illinois:
• About half of youth report worsening mental health symptoms in recent years.

Community Health Centers play a vital role in expanding access to mental health services, breaking stigma, and connecting individuals to care.

Oral cancer affects thousands each year and early detection can make a life-saving difference.
📊 About 58,500 people in the U.S. are diagnosed annually
⚠️ Many cases are found late, dropping survival rates from 80–90% (early stage) to about 43%
🚬 To***co use and HPV are leading risk factors
Unlike many cancers, there’s no standard screening, which makes awareness and regular dental checkups critical.
Know the signs. Reduce risk. Support early detection.

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are common and they can affect anyone.
📊 About 1 in 5 people in the U.S. has an STI at any given time.
⚠️ Many STIs have no symptoms, making regular testing essential.
📈 Young people ages 15–24 account for nearly half of new STI cases. Stigma can prevent people from seeking care but education, testing, and treatment are key to protecting your health and your community. Community Health Centers provide confidential testing, treatment, and prevention resources for all.
