As we wrap up Nursing Home Week, we just want to say what an absolutely amazing and fun-filled week it has been for both our staff and residents! 💙

We ended the week with our annual Luau, complete with a delicious roasted pig and all the tasty fixings. The food was wonderful, but the atmosphere and laughter shared together made the day even better! 🌺🌴

We started the morning off with a friendly game of volleyball and ended the afternoon relaxing with some fun Hawaiian mocktails. It was the perfect way to celebrate such a special week together.

A very special thank you goes out to every single department and staff member who worked so hard this week to make sure our residents and staff felt appreciated, loved, and celebrated. We truly could not have done it without the teamwork and dedication from everyone involved.

Thank you all for making this Nursing Home Week one to remember! ❤️

Day four of Nursing Home Week was filled with so many sweet treats, laughter, and wonderful memories! Today was Decade Day, and everyone had so much fun dressing up in their favorite decade styles.

We started the morning off with a fun hand jive dance-off, followed by some great music from Jerry Lee Lewis that had everyone smiling and singing along. Our amazing dietary team then served up delicious hamburgers with all the classic sides and fixings, which everyone truly enjoyed. To top the afternoon off, we treated ourselves to some good old-fashioned milkshakes!

Today was truly a wonderful day at the nursing home, full of fun, laughter, and time spent together. 💕

Day three of Nursing Home Week was Western Day, and it sure was a success! 🤠 We started the morning off with some wonderful country western music by Paul Morphius and ended the day with a good old-fashioned turkey shootout that brought lots of laughter and fun.

A special shoutout to our amazing dietary department for serving up delicious fried chicken and all the fixings, which paired perfectly with our western theme. Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a memorable one at our facility! 🐴⭐

Today we continued celebrating Nursing Home Week with our Fiesta Day, and boy did we have a great time! 🌮🎉

We started the day off with our very own mariachi band, which brought so much fun and energy to the facility. Lunch was a delicious spread of soft tacos and nachos that everyone truly enjoyed. Later in the day, residents and staff had a blast playing a friendly game of “Pin the Tail on the Donkey.” Congratulations to all of our winners! 🫏🎊

It was another wonderful day full of laughter, smiles, and memories here at James River!

As we kick off Nursing Home Week, we are reminded just how special our jobs truly are! ❤️ Today we started off Sports Day with a fun game of football out in our beautiful courtyard, followed by an afternoon of making our own James River Star Cards. It was a day full of laughter, love, and wonderful memories. 🏈⭐

A special shoutout to our amazing dietary staff for preparing a delicious lunch of hotdogs and all the fixings that fit perfectly with our sports-themed day! 🌭

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event so special for our residents and staff alike. We are looking forward to an amazing Nursing Home Week!
