Meet Dr. Dion Blackman, DACM, L.Ac. 💉
Our in-house acupuncturist blending Eastern wisdom with evidence-based, integrative care.
Let’s talk about what acupuncture actually is…
Acupuncture is a therapeutic practice that uses ultra-thin, sterile needles placed at specific points on the body to regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes. Think of it less as “treating symptoms” and more as restoring communication within your body.
The needles are hair-thin—nothing like what you experience with injections. Most people feel little to no pain. Sensations can include a slight pinch on insertion, followed by heaviness, warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of relaxation. Many clients fall asleep during treatment.
Common areas for acupuncture include:
• Face + ears (for stress, hormones, cosmetic support)
• Hands + feet (powerful nerve and energy access points)
• Back + shoulders (tension, pain, nervous system reset)
• Abdomen (digestion, fertility, hormonal balance)
People come in for so many reasons, including:
• Anxiety, stress, and nervous system dysregulation
• Chronic pain and inflammation
• Pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and hormonal shifts
• Sleep issues and fatigue
• Digestive concerns
• Headaches, migraines, and tension
But what we see most often?
People come in because their body is asking for a different kind of support, one that goes beyond talking and into feeling, regulating, and restoring.
If you’ve been curious about acupuncture, this is your sign to explore it in a space that honors both the science and the soul.
Book with Dr. Blackmon and experience it for yourself✔️
