We are pleased to announce that Dagen Jones and Tharron Roy are Integrated Residents in our program this year. The Integrated Resident program incorporates many of the experiences of first-year family medicine residents into the fourth year of medical school at the University of Missouri while allowing students to complete medical school requirements. It provides students with a head start on outstanding training in primary care, while at the same time providing financial support during the last year of medical school. Although the program does not shorten the duration of training, it offers participants greater flexibility in subsequent years of their residency. Welcome, Dagen and Tharron - we are glad you're here!

What a day! Wellness activities on the inpatient service this morning included a team photo contest - the two categories were Most Creative/Funny/Interesting and Best Teamwork. Do you have favorites? And this afternoon Redemption Ranch brought miniature ponies to the hospital for employees to meet and pet! Enjoy our photo dump!

Lifestyle Medicine AHD: Practicing what we preach about restorative sleep by developing the conditions that support it - getting outside for at least 60 minutes during the day - WHILE learning! We shared other strategies to optimize the circadian rhythm and explored how sleep-stress response influences our lives.
