While Candace is away at training, she’s getting hands-on (literally!) with the latest technology from Phonak... The brand-new Infinio Ultra platform!

This exciting launch brings:

🔊 Improved speech-in-noise management
🔋 Longer battery life and rechargeable custom hearing aids
📱 A more intuitive app with easier Bluetooth connectivity
👂 A new dome design that holds up even in the waxiest ears, lasting until routine maintenance every six months

As pictured below, trainees are using special gloves to simulate dexterity challenges. An eye-opening exercise that helps hearing professionals truly understand what some patients experience when changing batteries or adjusting devices.

🔊 New Research: AI & Speech Clarity in Noise

For many people with hearing loss, one of the hardest situations is trying to follow a conversation in a noisy environment — a restaurant, busy room, or family gathering.

Studies show that deep-learning models and neural networks can significantly improve speech intelligibility in noise — in some cases bringing performance closer to that of someone with “normal hearing.”

What does this mean for you (or a loved one)?

👂🏻AI algorithms can better identify and separate speech from background noise, making it easier to understand what someone is saying.

The outcome: less listening fatigue, fewer “Can you repeat that?” moments, and more confidence engaging in conversations even when things are loud.
