“This morning I did yoga and afterward I felt a strong desire to cry. For no reason other than because it felt necessary.
I asked the yoga instructor if this was okay, and she said it was normal! In fact, you feel this urge to be emotional because it’s what your body needs.
What a strange thought! We typically associate tears with sadness but today those tears represented a release of past trauma and stress. Don’t be afraid of the tears- they could be the release your body needs to overcome!”
