I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to We Are Autism for their beautiful blog post highlighting my journey and the work we’re building through It Takes A Village: Autism Parent Support Group.
I am truly humbled by the kind words and recognition.
This initiative was created from the heart with a vision to bring parents together, especially within our community, so no one has to feel alone in this journey. As parents, we know how overwhelming it can be to navigate autism, especially when access to information, language, and support can feel out of reach.
That’s why it means so much to see this work recognized, not just for me, but for what it represents: creating space for connection, understanding, and empowerment.
Through our gatherings at the Hispanic-American Library, we are building a safe and welcoming place where parents can come together to learn, ask questions, share experiences, and support one another. A space where stories are heard, resources are shared, and strength is found in community.
Thank you, We Are Autism, for helping us amplify this mission and for being part of the movement to ensure that families feel seen, supported, and empowered.
This is how we build our village...together
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to read the blog and learn more about the work being done. And if you’re a parent looking for support, we invite you to join us. You are not alone.
