The decision to cremate a loved one does not end our responsibility to our family and friends. They will be grieving too, and they have all lost a special person in their life that they want to be able to mourn. If a Celebration of Life feels too overwhelming right now, consider picking a date of significance (maybe their birthday) in which to bring everyone together to share memories and love.

Continuing to find entertainment in music, film, or art that the deceased enjoyed is a great way to keep their memory alive. Work with friends and family members to gather the person’s favorite songs and create a playlist everyone can enjoy together, or see if you can sing them together.
