Fifth Street Renaissance/SARA Center and Phoenix Center are partnering for African American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Stop by either location, meet staff from both agencies, learn about/utilize all the services we have to offer and get some great food from Clay's Popeye's BBQ and Ticks BBQ.

Come see us at Comer Cox Park by the basketball court and enjoy some great music, good food. Our mobile unit will be here until 8pm. Free health screenings, condoms, blood pressure, nasal Narcan, Fentanyl test strips, Covid Home Test kits, face masks, hand sanitizer, etc.

Fifth Street Renaissance has Rent and Utility assistance available for individuals and families who have been affected by Covid. Have you or someone in your household had Covid within the past 6 months and could not work or was your household income disrupted because you or someone in your household was taking care of a child with Covid? Please call 217-544-5040 Extension 11 and leave a message (Please leave only 1 message, messages are checked daily).

COVID Homeless Prevention Program Criteria
Need an I.D. or Driver’s License for everyone in the household that is old enough to have one.
Social Security cards on everyone in the household.
Positive Covid test.
Crisis letter (client letter explaining how Covid affected the household).
Proof of income.
Rental lease, rental invoice, and W9 (landlord).
Copy of the most recent utility bills.

***Must be employed and must be able to provide positive Covid test from a medical facility along with paystubs that prove a reduction of income for that period. At home tests will not be accepted unless accompanied by medical documentation showing that you were being treated for Covid***

Today is the one year anniversary of Fifth Street Renaissance providing wraparound services at mass Covid vaccination events in partnership with Illinois Migrant Council (IMC), CHP and IDPH CMHS. Fifth Street Renaissance values these partnerships and the incredible people on the team. First event was in Carpentersville and todays event was in Effingham.
