If you’re waking up this morning already feeling tight, you’re not alone.
Most people carry their week in the same three places:

There’s something about stepping outside on a Sunday morning that reminds the body how to soften.

The air is a little quieter.
The light is a little gentler.
And your nervous system finally has space to breathe.

Spending even a few minutes in nature ~ a walk, bare feet in the grass, sunlight on your face, listening to the wind ~ helps regulate stress, lower muscle tension, and bring your body back into balance. It’s one of the simplest ways to reconnect with yourself.

Your body is part of nature.
It responds to the world around you.
And sometimes the most healing thing you can do is step outside and let the earth hold you for a moment.

Tomorrow is Earth Day, and I’ve been thinking about how the body mirrors the seasons just as much as the world around us.
When the earth shifts, *we* shift. Our energy, breath, tension patterns, even the way we hold stress shifts.

Earth Day’s theme (Did you know there were themes?) this year is “Our Power, Our Planet,” and I love how it reminds us that healing isn’t passive.
Every small choice we make, for our bodies, our homes, our communities, all ripples outward.

Today is a beautiful day to pause and ask your body,

- Where am I holding on too tightly
- What needs grounding
- What needs softening
- What needs to be released back into the earth

A few simple ways to honor your body and the planet this week:

🌿 Step outside barefoot for 60 seconds and let the ground take what you don’t need
🌿 Drink water slowly, like you’re offering your nervous system a refill
🌿 Stretch your spine and imagine roots growing down from your feet
🌿 Choose one small habit that feels sustainable - for you or for the earth

Your body is part of nature.
Caring for it is one of the most powerful ways to care for the world around you.
