Meet the presenter for Trauma 101, Giovanna Giacobbe, MSW!
 
Giovanna Giacobbe, MSW, is a Senior Training and Consultation Specialist for Rutgers University in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Giovanna has had over 15 years of experience managing various research projects from the
state of NJ, NIDILRR, NIH and NIMH that focused its research on severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, schizoaffective disorders, as well as substance abuse, trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, smoking cessation, college students with psychiatric disabilities, Supported Housing, Supported Employment and Supported Education.
Giovanna’s area of specialty is in trauma and PTSD.  She currently teaches a trauma graduate course at Rutgers University for students in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Graduate Program. She is also a trauma consultant for the NJ State Psychiatric Hospitals.

Registration is now open for Supported Employment Specialists, Supported Education Specialists and staff of any agency licensed by the NJ Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (NJDMHAS). Providers from other state agencies with a mission to facilitate educational and vocational planning for individuals with mental health disorders are also invited to attend.

These workshops are targeted to provide the core competencies needed to prepare and assist consumers of mental health services interested in competitive work/educational settings.

Note* The first 3 workshops are being offered as live webinars via Zoom and the final workshop will be held at our office in Springfield.
There is no cost to participate.

This program is designed as a comprehensive curriculum with certification received for completion of the entire series. However, individuals may choose to register for specific modules as recommended by their respective programs.
