This midday talk explores how surrealist exercises connect to mindfulness, emotional awareness, and the way art can help us name what’s hard to say out loud. Presented by Simone Alter-Muri, Ed.D., Founder/Director and Professor of Art Therapy/Counseling, Springfield College, and Debra Sarlin, Ph.D. (makerspace educator and creative technologist), this program invites you to consider how surprising juxtapositions, new materials, and personal image-making can become tools for insight, healing, and self-discovery.
