Meet David, one of our Flight Nurses! With 12 years of flight experience, his passion continues in caring for high-acuity patients.

Before life in the skies, David spent 5 years as an ED nurse at MUMC, where he built the skills that led him to flight nursing.

💬 Favorite part of the job: “I love the intensity of what we do and helping people in critical moments.”

💡 Best memory: Watching a former patient graduate high school—a full-circle moment he’ll never forget.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family & pets: Proud husband of his wife, dad of 5 kids, and pet parent to 2 dogs and 3 cats.

⛵️ Hobbies: Building model boats, all things Star Wars, and taking trips to Disney.

🥦 Fun fact: He absolutely hates broccoli.

🚁 Current Roles: Flight Nurse & Base Outreach Coordinator

Before taking to the skies, Caitlin built her career as an ICU nurse in Savannah starting in 2018, with experience in travel nursing — even internationally! 🌍

With 1.5 years of flight experience, Caitlin thrives on the excitement of never knowing what a call will bring and the opportunity to meet new people through her outreach work.

👯‍♀️ Fun Fact: Caitlin is a twin! Her sister Meghan is a PA at Memorial ER — and yes, they get mistaken for each other all the time.

🐶 Pets: One lovable dog named Chance

⭐️ Interests: Being a Braves & UGA fan, concerts, time on the water, and traveling

💬 Favorite Memory of the job: Working alongside incredible colleagues who have taught her so much and being able to provide critical care in the sky

🚁 Employee Spotlight: Rob Hales 🚑

With a career that spans over three decades, Rob Hales brings a wealth of experience to the world of HEMS.

🩺 Rob began his journey in medicine in 1989 as a medic. After 14 years, he transitioned into emergency nursing, spending 8 years in the ER before taking to the skies in 2010 as a flight nurse. With 15 years of flight experience, Rob is a trusted leader in the field.

💡 His advice to those considering a career in HEMS? “Be ready to learn.” It’s always a challenge, but one that brings growth and reward.

✨ Rob’s favorite part of the job? “Working alongside the finest clinicians and knowing we make a positive difference in patient outcomes.”

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Outside of work, Rob enjoys fishing trips, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

When she’s not saving lives, Jessica is all about the outdoors — from fishing and swimming to softball and family cruises. She’s been married for 12 years and is a proud mom to two daughters (ages 12 & 😎, plus 3 dogs and a cat! 🐾💙
