Hi, friends! Boy, am I happy you follow this little page and I’m so grateful for the support! 💖 I’ve just got two things for you today:

1. Don’t forget that Hoppy Yoga is back at White River Brewing Company! Find me there the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at noon (next one is THIS SUNDAY!); $15 gets you mat space and a beer or kombucha. All levels welcome!

2. Over the next few months, as the purchase of Essential becomes final, I’ll be working hard to balance my ”day job” 💙, the Studio 💜, and my individual teaching 💛. I’ll share my teaching schedule regularly here but would also love to join you for private sessions or yoga parties. Just reach out with any ideas!!

Hi friends! I haven’t shared here in a while so I thought it was time for an update! 😅💖

I’m still teaching at Essential Yoga Studio - you can find me there Monday and Friday at 6a and Monday evenings at 7p! I also sub off and on which I looove to do! I’ll be subbing Saturday 7/23 at noon! 🧘‍♀️

I’m currently participating in a 20-hour Trauma-informed Yoga Teaching Certification through Exhale to Inhale and am so grateful for this experience. I’m passionate about helping folks “find yoga” in their own bodies and this will add another layer of love to my teaching. 🙏

Finally, I’ve been working on a few other things: helping with classes at Synergy Executive in Ozark and Rogersville, a mini yoga session at the upcoming Springfield Regional Arts Council Arts Integration Conference, and exploring options for my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training starting this coming Spring! 🥳

I’m so grateful for the support of this community and LOVE sharing space with you all! Feel free to reach out if you ever have questions about yoga, where I’m teaching and when, or if you’d like to talk about private instruction (group or individual)! ☀️

Hi friends! So many beautiful opportunities to join me for yoga and to take deep care of yourself over the coming New Years weekend. I’ll list everything below but feel free to DM or comment with any questions! 🧘‍♀️

Tomorrow, Friday 12/31:
6a: Rise & Shine at Essential Yoga Studio. We’ll be doing a little Restorative session. 🥰 Mats and props are provided but bringing your own bolster is a good idea.

10a: I’m subbing an Align & Flow class at Essential! I haven’t taught this class before but I’m looking forward to it! We’re going to focus on our alignment in Warrior I family of poses (lunges, W1, pyramid, etc).

Saturday, 1/1:
11a-3p: Yoga Mala with Sacred Life and Yoga Gab Retreats (infographic below). $22. 108 Sun salutations to welcome in the new year! I will be modifying and taking breathing breaks right along with you! 😃

Sunday 1/2:
12p: Hoppy Yoga at White River. $15 gets you matspace and beer/kombucha! It will be cold out but we’ll be inside and I’ll keep you warm. 🍻

6p: Our FIRST Yoga Essentials workshop at Essential Yoga Studio! See Facebook event for details (or message me!) - tickets are $25 for non-members (of Essential) and $15 for current members. This is a great opportunity for newbies to get a crash course on props, alignment, and making public classes your own! I’m extra excited for our time together in Q&A and the sharing of ideas for our February session. 💖

Hi, friends! Im so thankful for your support these last few months! I hope your day was well-spent with good food and family. ❤️

If you’re in need of a little refresher after your heavy holiday meal, join me tomorrow morning at 6a at Essential Yoga Studio! My little group of regulars, for whom I am eternally grateful, and I have dubbed the last Friday of each month Restorative Rise and Shine! We will be taking it extra slow and taking time to focus internally on our gratitude lists. 🙏

Hi friends! I’m so excited to share about my first workshop in partnership with my friends at Essential Yoga! 🥳

Yoga Essentials, beginning in January 2022, will be a monthly workshop where we learn about props and their use, poses cued in many sequences and classes, and alignment basics to help us embody yoga in OUR OWN bodies, no matter what the person on the mat next to us is doing. My goal is for folks to leave feeling more prepared to tackle group classes and personal yoga practices in ways that feel supportive to each of us as individuals. Hi friends! 🌞 It’s been quiet around here on the Sunnshine Yoga page lately but don’t be fooled: I’ve been teaching my regular classes at Essential Yoga (Monday 6a, 7p and Friday 6a) and at White River Brewing (1st & 3rd Sundays, 12p)!

I’m very excited to share soon about a new opportunity to engage with me and other new yogis in a monthly Beginners’ Workshop - more details to come soon!! 💖🧘‍♀️

This weekend, I attended the first of a 2-part Yin & Restorative Intensive! We talked about Wintering, or the act of slowing down and “comprehending and copying” the patterns of nature in our lives; learned about how to apply Ayurvedic principles to the imbalances we experience mentally and physically; and had so much fun grounding down into a plethora of Yin Yoga shapes and poses. My heart and mind are full and I can’t wait to share the amazing things I’ve learned (and will continue to!) with my yoga students. ❤️🧘‍♀️✨❄️

Sunni Nutt is a newly certified yoga teacher, attaining her 200-hour YTT certification in August 2021. After practicing yoga for 7+ years, she realized she wanted to explore yoga more deeply and enrolled in teacher training with Lindsey Argo and Sacred Life. Sunni plans to engage in her 300-hour YTT in Summer 2022.
When she’s not practicing yoga, Sunni works as the Operations Director for a local domestic violence shelter and loves to read, play outside, take bubble baths, and turn her home into a greenhouse! She lives in North Springfield (Northside Pride!) with her husband, Cody, and their furred and feathered children: two dogs, Pluto and Bowie; two cats, Penny and Prudence; and three chickens, Megg, Beth, and Amy. Sunni’s hopes and dreams include offering private yoga instruction, living on a little farm in the middle of nowhere, and spending lots of time breathing and connecting with the earth in and around her.

Class description: Sunni will be providing a gentle flow class to end our weekend right by mindfully showing ourselves a little extra love.
