We warmly welcome Dr. Kelsey Carman to BOGG!
Dr. Carman brings an original perspective to her Ob/Gyn practice. With her Bachelor’s degree in World Politics, and having lived everywhere from California to Michigan to Thailand, she brings an open mindedness to her care that stems from her diverse set of experiences. Her Master’s degree in Public Health fostered an interest in research and evidence-based medicine while maintaining an excitement for new and alternative therapies for patients.
Having completed her residency training at Baystate Medical Center, she’s excited to continue developing relationships within the Western Massachusetts community. During her training she received the Outstanding House Staff award, given by UMass Chan Medical School in recognition of excellence in teaching. As a chief resident she was awarded the Dr. Michael Plevyak Patient Advocacy Award for providing compassionate, empathetic and high-quality patient care.
Dr. Carman shares, “I feel incredibly lucky to have the privilege of caring for women during their highest highs and lowest lows. I find so much joy in the full spectrum of Ob/Gyn care – delivering babies, performing gynecologic surgery, discussing contraception, and developing lifelong connections with people. I can genuinely say that I have my dream job.”
Outside of her career, Dr. Carman is always looking for recommendations for good mystery novels, new backyard lawn games, and fun trivia spots. She’s often found on long walks with her dogs.
Dr. Carman will be seeing patients in our Springfield office, and new Agawam office later this year.
