The Blue Envelope Program is officially live, and we’re excited to see this step forward in supporting individuals with special needs and the officers who serve our community.

💙 NEW: The Blue Envelope Program is now live across the Ozarks!

This simple tool helps make interactions with police officers for people with disabilities or communications challenges safer and more supportive.

We're leading the way along with area agencies including Ozark Police Department, Nixa Police Department, Hollister Police Department, Kimberling City Police Department, and Indian Point Police Department. All are supporting a program that strengthens understanding across the Ozarks.

If you or someone you know would like to pick up a Blue Envelope, we have them in both lobbies or from any uniformed officer.

Our Day Program enjoyed a fun day downtown—visiting Upside Down Mercantile.

Upside Down Mercantile is a retail project of Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks, where products are created and sold by individuals with Down syndrome and their families. It’s an inspiring place that promotes creativity, independence, and community 💙

💙 Occupational Therapist Appreciation Month 💙
We are excited to have Bailey as a part of our team, providing in-home occupational therapy services that meet consumers where they are most comfortable. She focuses on building independence in daily living skills, from routines like dressing, hygiene, and meal preparation to improving fine motor skills and sensory regulation. She collaborates closely with staff and families to ensure consistency and success across settings.

Progress is being made!

The Missouri Senate Appropriations Committee has:
✅ Fully funded the VR grant to support workforce integration
✅ Maintained DD provider rates to help keep people safe and healthy in their communities

These are real, meaningful wins for Missourians with intellectual and developmental disabilities and for the providers who support them every day.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up, showed up, and took action. It matters! We’ll keep watching what comes next and keep you informed every step of the way.
