Yoga at East View Farm Gentle Yoga, Candlelight Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Baby & Me Yoga, Family Yoga Aimée began practicing Iyengar yoga in 1999.

After many years of self-guided practice and informal teaching while working on a wildlife conservation project in Equatorial Africa, she obtained her RYT-200 yoga certification in 2014 at Shoshoni Ashram in Colorado. Aimée has taught gentle and vinyasa yoga at studios and health clubs, adaptive chair yoga at senior centers, yoga classes for beginners, partner yoga to expectant couples, and mindfulness meditation to high school students. She earned her prenatal yoga certification at Kripalu in October 2017, and is now offering Prenatal yoga classes and Baby & Me classes and workshops at our studio. Aimée's classes are accessible and lighthearted. Her instruction focuses on subtle adjustments to alignment and muscle engagement that bring the pose to the still point between ease and effort, delving into our connection with nature and each other, and cultivating an awareness of our ability to direct the powerful energy that is woven between and within all things. Sunshine and Summertime = Yoga in the Meadow!

Join me this Wednesday at 10am for the first of the season, and every Wednesday this summer as weather permits. If you’re vaccinated, no mask is required. Please bring your own mat and/or picnic blanket.

Fresh air, birdsong, frogsong, light reflecting on the pond and through the green leaves above.

It's no secret that collectively the world is going through a scary and uncertain time. This meditation was created for re-centering in times of fear, chaos, and uncertainty. We cannot always control what is going on outside of us, but we can always come back to our breath.

Take this opportunity to settle in, listen to the poet Hafiz's quote and be guided through a meditation to experience the "light against your being" during this time. This is a meditation for presence, connection, peace of mind, and love. Allow this to permeate the moments of your day.

Resting can look like:
1. Closing your eyes for 10 minutes.
2. A longer shower in silence.
3. Meditating on the couch for 20 minutes.
4. Daydreaming by staring out of window.
5. Sipping tea before bed in the dark.
6. Slow dancing with yourself slow music.
7. Attending or tuning in to a Sound Bath.
8. Slow Sun Salutations.
9. 20 minute timed nap.
